Each paper charm is carefully folded and finished by hand in my little attic shop in Tokyo.

By combining delicate origami with traditional Japanese mizuhiki cord, these earrings bring together two beautiful elements of Japanese craft in one lightweight, handmade accessory.

A tiny way to wear a piece of Japan wherever you go.

About the Washi Paper

These earrings are made with Japanese chiyogami and/or washi paper, traditional Japanese papers known for their beautiful colors, patterns, and textures.

To preserve the soft, natural texture of the washi, I use a non-glossy decoupage medium rather than a shiny lacquer finish.

The origami charm is lightly reinforced, but it is still delicate. Please take care not to crush, bend, or press the paper charm.

About Mizuhiki

Mizuhiki is a traditional Japanese decorative cord used to adorn gifts and for special occasions. It is carefully shaped and tied into decorative forms, often carrying wishes for happiness, good fortune, or meaningful connections.

In these earrings, mizuhiki adds a beautiful touch of Japanese tradition and complements the delicate origami paper charm.

Life Long Support

If your Attic Nat earrings are damaged, I’m happy to repair them whenever possible, at no charge.

You would only need to cover the postage for sending them to me in Japan. Please contact me before sending anything, so I can let you know the best way to proceed.

I’d rather repair a little treasure than see it go to waste. ♡
