I visited Kameido Tenjin Shrine the other day.

Tenjin shrines are dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, who is widely revered as the god of learning and scholarship in Japan.

One of the highlights of Kameido Tenjin Shrine is the beautiful view where you can photograph the shrine's traditional architecture with the Tokyo Skytree rising in the background.

The contrast between old and new Tokyo makes for a memorable scene.

I collect goshuin, so adding a new one from Kameido Tenjin to my collection made me smile. They also offer commemorative candies, which was a sweet little surprise.
